Hello. It’s great to bring you a new edition of TimeMachiner this Tuesday. A big welcome to Amit, Aaron, Arjan, Jon and my newest subscribers to TimeMachiner.

Thank you for giving me space in your inbox. 🙏🏻

The dog days of summer are officially upon us. There's been only small drips of things going on in the world that are not all doom and gloom. It's an interesting lull in the cycle of tech and home entertainment where even these big companies know they don't have a grip on our attention during these months. It's a nice break because September is generally the kickoff of major tech events, product announcements, and new / returning TV shows. Disney showed off the trailer this week for their Andor series that focuses on one of the main characters in Rogue One. Of course it looks good, because Disney has infinite budget. This'll be one to look for in September.

Conversely we get all the big movies coming out, though I'm sure all those schedules are still messy from the pandemic. Plus, I would think book sales are elevated in the summer with all the vacation / poolside reading going on. This weekend I finished my 8th book of the year, The Woman in Cabin 10 and have jumped right into Disrupting The Game by Reggie Fils Aime, the former President of Nintendo of America. I had no idea I would already crush my GoodReads yearly reading goal by August (six was my target) but now I'm hoping there's enough room in the year for me to get to 10 books read by 12/31. If I can achieve that, it'll be a milestone for me. I've experienced some great stories this year and it is a wonderful alternative to vegging out in front of the TV. Nabbing a new Kindle Paperwhite didn't hurt either. The device is still truly great.

Here at TimeMachiner, I'm closing in on the anniversary of this here newsletter you're reading right now. Next week's issue will be a special one. But enough of that for now. I don't want to spoil anything. 🤫

Here's today's Random Factoid: It took Erno Rubik, the creator of the Rubik’s Cube, about one month to solve the cube after he created it. Source
