I've been saying it for many months: Apple TV+ is a bonafide hit of a streaming service. But what are the best shows on Apple TV+? Of course, we all know about Ted Lasso. Apple promotes it at every opportunity. However, Severance is the latest show to really knock it out of the park. I cannot state enough how great this show is. It combines great storytelling and visuals that drive the ideas home.

The show has a dynamite cast, including the irreverent Kathryn Hahn and scene-stealing Casey Wilson, who help The Shrink Next Door enter the upper echelon of Apple TV+ shows.

Based on Min Jin Lee’s critically-acclaimed epic novel of the same name, Pachinko is one of Apple TV+’s best shows in recent years.
5. The Last Days of Ptolemy Gray.
Over the course of six episodes, The Last Days of Ptolemy Gray finds Jackson playing Ptolemy Gray, a man whose memory is being eroded until Dr. Rubin (Walter Goggins) presents him with a miraculous treatment helping Gray to remember everything he began to forget.
Apple TV+'s catalog has grown so quickly, there are actually a lot of shows on here I hadn't heard of. The service is less than 3 years old, but Apple is building one hell of a catalog to keep you hooked on the service. Many derided and mocked it when Apple started. Talk about progress.
One of the best shows on Apple TV+ to me is also Mythic Quest. It came in at number 17 on the list. I also have enjoyed Home Before Dark, though season 2 disappointed me.
By far, the most interesting non-series factoid from this is the price. Apple has and still charges only $4.99. Consider the price increases across the board over the years, especially from Netflix. The longer Apple can go without raising the prices, the bigger impact it can make. Yes, there are shows we want to watch on other platforms, but the habit of switching up what you're subscribed to at any given time has picked up steam. At $5, Apple is likely betting (and for good reason) that you can stay subscribed and find something to watch. As for Netflix, Hulu, Paramount+, etc, people are already playing the cancel, subscribe to something else, cancel that game.
