A month ago on Reddit, a unique and quite funny story went viral. It is a tale of two cats at a workplace and their human owner asking if he's in the wrong by how he talks about them.
A user with a throwaway username (as is common to do on the site) posted to /r/AITA, which is a section to ask if "Am I the Asshole" in a situation. In this particular case, a person describes two cats at their workplace named Jorts and Jean. Jorts seems to be a bit silly but a co-worker feels she needs to almost take over the care of Jorts.
What ensues is a well-written and quite funny story. Without spoiling anything, here's an excerpt:
Jean is very nice to poor orange Jorts, and she is kept busy letting him out of rooms he has trapped himself in, so this seems easy to resolve. I put down a door stop.Jorts Reddit Post
Pam then said I was depriving Jorts of the “chance to learn” and kept removing the doorstop. She set up a series of special learning activities for Jorts, and tried to put these tasks on the whiteboard of daily team tasks (I erased them).
The story reads like a work of fiction but there are too many good bits that make it real. Even better, a few days later the person posted an update that is even funnier than the initial post.
If you're looking for a fun read and a lot of laughs, I highly recommend you enjoy the shenanigans of cats + workplace + weird co-workers. Part one can be found here and the update can be found here.
